A trading and construction services company had nearly everything lined up to set up a PT in Tangerang. The business activity was clear, the legal requirements were mapped out, and an office address was already within reach: a Virtual Office priced right and in a location that looked strategic.<\/p>\n

What wasn’t clear was whether that address could actually be used. Once its zoning was checked, the location turned out to sit in a zone that didn’t match the client’s line of business.<\/p>\n

An Address That Looked Right, in the Wrong Zone<\/h2>\n

The client’s original plan was simple enough. To keep early costs down, a home address was on the table, since the company didn’t yet need a physical office to operate.<\/p>\n

Prospective clients tend to get drawn to an address that’s priced right or looks strategic, without first checking whether the zone matches their KBLI (business classification code). Mixed-use zones often look safe for any kind of business, but many still carry specific restrictions. Zoning is best checked before signing a lease, not after the OSS process is already underway.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

A Virtual Office in the Right Zone<\/h2>\n
